- ----------------------
-
- Full package must include following files:
-
- GOMOKU.EXE - Program itself
- GOMOKU.HLP - Windows Help File

- For more info see below
- GOMOKU.REG - Registration form
- GOMOKU.TXT - This file

- VBRUN300.DLL - Visual Basic run-time library
- This file is placed on public
- domain, so you can download it
- from most ftp archives
- THREED.VBX - Custom control file
-
- Please, ensure that you have the full package of required files. If you
- don't, please contact the author at the address given at the end of this
- document.
-
-
-
- 2. Go-Moku 2.0 Installation
- ---------------------------
-
- Place all the required files (that are listed above) in one directory,
- say, C:\GAMES\GOMOKU. From your Windows Program Manager select New
- option from pool-down menu. Enter all information (path) or use Browse
- button.
-
- Note:
- This game requires file VBRUN300.DLL and will not work without it. This
- file is of size 398 Kb, and so not included with this package.
- VBRUN300.DLL is placed on public domain so you may download it from,
- say, ftp.cica.indiana.edu (MS Windows archive). Alternatively, you may
- contact the author (refer to section 6 on my address or E-mail) and
- request this file to be delivered to you via some ways suitable to you.
- Also, file GOMOKU.ZIP containing VBRUN300.DLL is placed on the following
- ftp-anonymous site and may be downloaded from there:
-
- Where -------> Melbourne, Australia
- Site --------> brain.physics.swin.oz.au
- IP Number ---> 136.186.27.10
- How ---------> via anonymous ftp login
- Directory ---> /pub/kig/gomoku/gomoku2i.zip
-
- The gomoku-package on this site is an installation pack. You only need
- to run SETUP.EXE, and follow all prompts. The rest is done automatically.
- Letter "i" in gomoku2i.zip stands for "installation". The above directory
- will also contain gomoku2.zip, which consists of compressed files listed
- in section 1 excluding, however, VBRUN300.DLL. The directory listing is
- presented below:
-
- gomoku2 zip 67,216 04-09-94 8:17p
- gomoku2i zip 366,037 04-09-94 8:22p
-
- Please note, that this site will always contain the LATEST unregistered
- version of the game.
-
-
-
- 3. User Registration file GOMOKU.USR
- ------------------------------------
-
- Go-Moku is marketed under Shareware Concept (for more details see
- corresponding section in Help File). No copy protection is made
- whatsoever. However, one action taken to preserve priority of registered
- users - is encrypted name and registration number contained in the file
- GOMOKU.USR. When you start Go-Moku, the program reads user information
- data from this encrypted file.
-
- Any attempt to edit/change/delete/rename this file will surely result in
- a message "User Registration File is corrupt" and inability to start
- Go-Moku.
-
- You may see this message if your DIRECTORY settings in Progam Manager is
- incorrectly set. Go-Moku will try to find GOMOKU.USR file and will fail.
- If you'll see "File not found" message, please check the directory set-
- ting in your Windows Program Manager.
-
- If something happens to this file and Go-Moku does not start, then
- registered users are advised to reinstall Go-Moku from disk;
- unregistered users may request either registered (with appropriate fee
- included) or trial copy of the game by writing to the author at the
- address given below.
-
-
-
-
- 4. Distribution
- ---------------
-
- You are encouraged to distribute this program for non-commercial use if
- distribution is intact, unmodified, en masse, and as long as no fee is
- charged for such distribution. If at all possible, please distribute the
- original ZIP file, which should include files listed above.
-
-
-
- 5. Warranty
- -----------
-
- The author hereby disclaims all warranties relating to this software,
- whether express or implied, including without limitation any implied
- warranties of merchantability or fitness for a particular purpose. The
- author will not be liable for any special, incidental, consequential,
- indirect or similar damages due to loss of data or any other reason,
- even if advised of the possibility of such damages. In no event shall
